An expecting mother and her 3-year-old son escaped a frightening and violent home and family life

With only the clothes on their backs, they came to a United Way sponsored agency that serves abused women and their children. They had no where to go and no friends or relatives they could approach for help.

Thanks to your support of United Way, this partner funded program was able to help. The mother and her son were provided with a permanent residence to call home and the support to raise and protect her and her family.

Your support of United Way also gave her the tools for a more secure and self-reliant future. She has returned to school and is now a college student with a world of possibilities ahead.
