A young, expecting mother and her 3-year-old son escaped a frightening and violent home and family life

With only the clothes on their backs, they came to a United Way sponsored agency that serves abused women and their children. They had nowhere to go and no one to ask for help.

Thanks to the United Way funded program, this mother was able to receive help, a permanent residence to call home and the support to raise and protect her family.
