Maintaining our community's safety net

Living united and supporting United Way helps maintain the Mid-South's safety net of nonprofit services.

When we LIVE UNITED and support United Way, we maintain our community's safety net which meets basic health and human service needs.

Meeting basic needs:

> Providing sufficient food

> Providing adequate clothing

> Securing emergency housing

Providing access to information and care:
> Access to transportation for health care

> Information and referral about crisis assistance services

> Access to emergency rent and utility assistance

> Access to basic furniture/household items

Programs
United Way is working alongside 24 nonprofit partners and three colleges in the American Humanics program. This program helps prepare and certify college students for work in the nonprofit field.
