Your support of the United Way of the Mid-South helps Special Olympics and other programs, aiding children and adults with disabilities, live the most rewarding lives possible.

In 1999, Harry competed in his first Special Olympics International Games in North Carolina as a member of Tennessee’s soccer team. He was chosen to become a member of Team USA to compete in Dublin, Ireland.

There is much more to this story. Harry is also a champion in charitable fundraising. He has met with many local company executives to show the class and professionalism that a person with Downs Syndrome can demonstrate, given the opportunities.

Harry’s exemplary work ethic as an athlete is mirrored in his job at Schnucks, where he has been employed for over a decade. He makes it a point to remember everyone’s name that works with him at Schnucks.
