Bill Ray, Assistant Vice President, External Affairs with Bell South, is United Way of the Mid-South’s 2005 General Campaign Chairman. Ray, a long-time friend to United Way of the Mid-South is a member of the United Way Board of Directors and has contributed time and effort to raising community awareness of the important work UW programs and initiatives do every day.
"I have been asked, and have accepted the role of the United Way of the Mid-South's 2005 General Campaign Chairman. What a great feeling to know our BellSouth employees and our region will respond to help people in need. It is important for us to give back to our community," Ray said.
Ray is spokesman and principal representative of BellSouth in the greater Memphis area. He is also responsible for the company's relations with all external constituencies in West Tennessee, including external communications, community relations and media relations activities.
