United Way of the Mid-South's Success By 6 initiative

United Way of the Mid-South's Success by 6 is a local collaboration between United Way, institutions and residents, to expand and create new strategies so more children will reach their school years healthy, well nurtured and prepared to succeed. Initiated with funding from Bank of America, the Success By 6 efforts include:

  • undefined  this new educational campaign focuses on ways parents and caregivers can contribute to childhood learning through "everyday moments."

    United Way, in conjuction with the Ad Council and Civitas, brings you the Born Learning initiative to strengthen awareness of children's early learning needs across America.   • New Parent Information Packets "Children DO come with instructions" packets are distributed to all families of babies born in Shelby County hospitals.
  • The Success By 6 Tennessee State Initiative is a collaborative effort led by Tennessee United Ways to develop a statewide system and plan to improve the lives of Tennessee children through changes in state-level policies and practices.
